Arm Kigen approached us for corporate video production, highlighting the key strengths and competitive advantages of their proposition for integrated SIM. It was key this was creatively expressed in a trustworthy way that would relate to decision makers. Outlining their reputation of being one of the first pioneer’s of iSim, Arm’s aim was to promote to customers that they are the best supplier on the market to partner with iSim projects. Being a corporate video, Meantime were on board to produce something special to achieve their goals.
A carefully threaded visual style that compliments Arm’s house style
Since being a key launch for Arm Kigen, the visuals needed to be slick and awe inspiring. I mean, they supply some pretty advanced technology – incredible might we add – so, ‘cool visuals’ were essential. We wanted to get-up close and personal with the tech. Using a probe lens to make circuit boards look like cities, this presents the viewer with grand images of technology that they hadn’t seen before.
Again, being a corporate video production, there was the need to include informative yet engaging aspects to the film. Our aim was to team the visuals with interviews from Arm’s experts. These interviews were taken place within a studio setting constructed of abstract shapes and projections, mimicking the technology at hand. When it came to the final touches, we included bespoke animation and a variety of SFX to tie together the visuals and narrative.
This project is a great example of how to be creative with the standard talking head format. We had a great opportunity to develop visuals at a high production standard which complement Arm Kigen’s message to its customers. This was vital with Arm leading the industry with innovative technology. Apple recognised this and announced that they will be exclusively using ARM software in their products – go Arm!
We couldn’t pass up the opportunity to have a play with the probe lens while working on this project. We decided to have a little fun with how close we could get it to ourselves – Joe took great pleasure in aiming it at Adam’s mouth, Martin’s ear and Guy’s nose… We even managed to make a video out of it:
